I'm tired of "Expired Items"

Is there any way to just update existing items (ie- shell prices, options, colors) and not have to exchange them out after making a price or textual change to them? We just recently dropped our shell prices and now every. single. quote has to be redone because of "Expired Item". This is frustrating and a huge time loss.

Hey guys - we have had this spec'd for quite some time, and have actually developed some ideas that we didn't end up releasing because we just didn't like the way they turned out. As Nat has suggested, it is a complex problem. We have been holding off on a final decision on the changes until we get all of the required data structure changes for our Bill of Materials implemented. On a very personal side of things - I have come to dread seeing Expired Items pop up on the order form... Thanks for bringing it up!

I remember back when TSA didn't have this feature; selling a few buildings at the old cost hurts almost worse! Or worse yet, auto updating the price and then having customers feel cheated unless you can explain what happened! But I do feel the pain of worrying that a customer might not be able to check out or something. Sales people can proceed anyway most times so since you likely need to update cost anyway it probably doesn't take a lot more time.

Yes, this would be very helpful. Very time saving! Especially for dealers
